Songs in Search of a Tune is a collection of lyric poetry from a time of exquisite longing, a portrait of a mid-journey, misdirected and deeply felt. Written by a synesthetic visual artist, this book compliments the artistic impulse more often expressed in painting, when only words will do.
Producing and publishing this book has been a dream long delayed, finally realized in mid-2018. Two more volumes of lyric poetry are now in the works. Songs in Search of Tune, Volume 2 is due to be published in 2024.

Bright Pink Smile was founded during the flea-bitten summer of 2009 as an independent and different sort of art blog; a place to opine, wax poetic, share inspiration, and vent steam. Bright Pink Smile offers advice, musings, and monthly creativity exercises. It is about being an artist, and is meant for artists and other curious folks.
Bright Pink Smile is on temporary haitus (with minor attention) while other projects are being persued. However, there is much good writing in the archives on the topic of being an artist.
